There is a bug in IIS when php is installed as an executable that stop cookies being set so it's impossible to log in even though the installation goes perfectly well. There is apparently a fix available from microsoft.com but until I move the core over to tracked sessions (which raises a whole new set of problems) if you are getting this problem either a) get apache installed, or b) use a different cms.
e107 is open-source and of course, free. None of the developers of this software are paid, but donations do help to cover our monthly dedicated-server costs. If you like and use e107, please consider making a $5 monthly donation. Every little bit helps and is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
