For any of you having problems with your articles / reviews being categorised properly, after a bugstorming session with Dawn today the problem was pinned down to the content_parent element in the content table being too small, change it from TINYINT(3) to INT(10) if you are suffering the same problems. If not don't worry, I'll add it as a table update with the next release.
The next version will have far better news support, after multiple requests you can now upload files and images from the newspost screen and link to them using a single click, images can also be thumbnailed and will link to the main image. Also the category screen has been updated, items can be listed on the main page by category and there is a new small menu item that will show only items from the chosen category.
